Volunteers Make Everything Possible!

This is your PTO, and the key to a successful PTO is involvement. You are welcomed and encouraged to attend all of our meetings, events, and get involved by volunteering! The PTO website hosts a full list of all PTO-lead events as well as full year volunteer opportunities for the school year.

As committees form you will be contacted. Don’t see something you think we should be doing at LCS? Propose your idea to the PTO Board of Trustees & volunteer to lead it. Together, we will strengthen our children’s experience & sense of community.

Thank you in advance for your support!

Message Board
Help keep our community in-the-know!  Use the PTO provided letters and message boards to keep students and caregivers updated on current events.  An easy job to be done anytime you want to swing by the school.  This post requires staying up to date with all PTO and LCS events and putting up and taking down notices in a timely manner.

Library Volunteers

Books are a key resource for our children, but volunteers are needed to help sort and organize them.  Library volunteers also help with the school book fairs.  Help support our school library!

Staff Appreciation
Join the committee that helps spread cheer to the LCS faculty!  Provide recognition and visible appreciation to all teachers and staff throughout the school year.  This includes monthly tokens of thanks, annual staff appreciation week including a luncheon.  The group will be responsible for coming up with monthly treat ideas (we also have a bank of ideas to choose from) and coordination of volunteers and donations by creating sign up forms (don't worry we'll show you how).

LCS Paparazzi (Photography)
Love taking and posting pictures?  This committee is responsible for capturing memories throughout the school year.  Whether we are learning virtually or in person at LCS, we want to be able to creatively capture special moments with LCS.  We are also looking for point people from the photography committee to post and organize photos on our Google account, as well as to help coordinate classroom photographers, so that each grade has photos to enjoy.  Each year the Yearbook committee uses these photos to create the 5th grade yearbook.

Are you a planner? Do you love being creative? We are ALWAYS looking for a volunteers to assist with our events all year long. If you're not sure where to start, or you want to do EVERYTHING, this is the sign-up for YOU!  As the PTO Co-Events team is ready to plan their next event they will reach out to this group for volunteers.  By joining this committee you do not need to commit to helping with all events.

Community Engagement

This committee will be responsible for keeping the community engaged whether by helping with fundraising, assisting with book fair, spirit week or bringing in new sponsors! 10 volunteers from each grade are needed-please indicate grade level when signing up!
