What is the PTO again?
PTO stands for Parent Teacher Organization. The LCS PTO is a group of volunteer parents & caregivers dedicated to supporting the LCS community by enhancing our student’s academic environment and striving to create an inclusive and welcoming culture for all of our families.
What is the best way to support the LCS PTO, our students, and our LCS community?
Join the PTO by becoming a member and paying your PTO dues today! Your donation will enable us to provide additional enrichment for your child's classroom. Have other ideas or love to connect? Contact us anytime or volunteer at any of our various events throughout the year - we'd love to see you there!
Do I have to volunteer if I join the PTO?
Volunteering is always encouraged and appreciated, but completely optional.
Why support the PTO?
Your PTO membership dues directly impact your child(ren) and the faculty of LCS. The LCS PTO funds school-wide assemblies, in-class enrichments, various learning tools, teacher appreciation drives, as well as community-building social functions.
This is your PTO, and the key to a successful PTO is involvement. Sign up to volunteer here and as committees form you will be contacted.
Have a suggestion to further enhance the PTO engagement? Propose your idea to the PTO executive board and volunteer to lead it. Together, we will strengthen our children’s experience and sense of community within our school.
What is the KC School Store?

What is a homeroom parent & how do I become one?
Homeroom parents are the liaison between the teacher and all the families in your child’s class. An email will be sent towards the end of August with more information and how to sign up. Once homeroom parents are confirmed, we have a homeroom PTO homeroom trustee and a handbook to help you navigate your roles and responsibilities as a homeroom parent.
