BE INVOLVED. HAVE A SAY. MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
WHAT IS THE PTO?
PTO stands for Parent Teacher Organization. The LCS PTO is a group of volunteer parents & educators dedicated to supporting the LCS community by enhancing our student’s academic environment and striving to create an inclusive and welcoming culture for all of our families.
WHY SUPPORT THE PTO?
Your generous donations directly impact your child(ren) and the faculty of LCS. The LCS PTO funds school-wide assemblies, in-class enrichments, various learning tools, teacher appreciation drives, as well as community-building social functions.
This is your PTO, and the key to a successful PTO is involvement. Sign up to volunteer here and as committees form you will be contacted.
Don’t see something that you think we should be doing at LCS? Propose your idea to the PTO executive board and volunteer to lead it. Together, we will strengthen our children’s experience and sense of community within our school.
HOW ARE THE PTO DUES STRUCTURED?
The PTO requests support from every family because every family benefit from PTO funded programs and events. As an organization, we ask each family to invest $75.00 annually into their child’s experience. Our programs survive and thrive because of your generosity.
The LCS PTO funds supplement initiatives that the school is unable to provide. We are proud of all the important enhancements that the PTO has provided to each and every student and faculty member at LCS.
What’s more, PTO membership is tax deductible & could be eligible for a corporate match! Check with your employer or scope out this list to see if you can get a monetary match for your dues!
As a thank you for funding your family's share of the PTO annual budget, you will receive the following:
LCS FAMILY DIRECTORY (via AtoZ)
A must-have, online resource & smartphone app for planning playdates birthday parties and more! Features include directory access, gps directions, the functionality to call, text or email directly from the app and much more!
Dedicated parent photographers capture thousands of moments throughout the school year. These pictures are posted in our secured, members-only photo gallery for you to view, download and treasure.
CHECKLISTS & REMINDERS
EXCLUSIVE access to the PTO Checklists & Reminders. We know there is a lot to keep track of, let the PTO help out by sending you a “to-do” list straight to your inbox. Ensure you never miss an event or important announcements from the PTO!
Throughout the school year, the PTO will poll its members to make sure we are meeting our goals by asking questions about enrichments and events. This opportunity to participate in PTO member surveys will directly influence your child’s experience at LCS.
What if you choose not to pay dues? Your children will still take part in all of the PTO programs that take place in school, but our ability to fund these programs, particularly our wonderful classroom enrichment activities, completely depends on the funds donated each year.
