Welcome
Welcome to Liberty Corner School PTO’s new and improved website for the 2011-2012 school year! Although we are still working to fine tune the site, our hope is that is becomes a more interactive, centralized tool where you can get current information, download photographs, and receive communications from LCS Staff and PTO committees. After listening to your input and assessing the success of other elementary schools in our district, we have decided to approach fundraising in a new way this year as well. You all should have received a pledge drive letter at the end of August explaining, in detail, our strategy for this year. Please read it carefully, contact Linda Picardo or Barb Sileo with any questions you might have, and donate accordingly. We have an exciting year of activities planned, the old favorites and some new events we hope you'll enjoy. Volunteers are essential to the success of our events so please consider joining one of our committees. Get involved, meet new friends and have some fun! If you are interested in participating and aren't sure how, just contact Zaida Harrison at zaidaharrison@verizon.net or Larissa Milligan at larissamilligan@hotmail.com. Have a great year and check our website often for up to date news on events, forms and photographs! Laurie Dobson and Bernie Taylor |

A Message From the PTO Co-PresidentsA reason to celebrate, the school budget was passed! Thank you to all the parents who took the time to vote. Our school's curriculum and children’s future will benefit from preserving the award-winning programs in the approved budget. Please continue to stay educated about our school system by attending the monthly Board of Education meetings on the first and third Mondays of the month. If you want your voices heard, you need to speak up and participate in the discussions. The BOE does listen, as evidenced by the various iterations the budget went through before the final proposed budget was approved on April 27th. Congratulations to all participants who completed the first LCS Family Fun Walk on April 29th! The sprinkle of rain did not slow down the runners/walkers from having fun while exercising. Thank you to Mary Carpenter and Kim McCavera and their committee for organizing a fun-filled and heart healthy event. We are quickly approaching the end of another school year. Only a few events remain on the PTO calendar. If you'd like to get a jumpstart on next year's school preparations, look out for the PTO's convenient way to order school supplies in the first half of May. The following events are still in need of volunteers. If you have the time to volunteer, please sign up for one of the remaining committees. You will not be disappointed – you will meet some friends and have fun being part of your child's school memories. Please contact one of the chairs if you have time this spring to volunteer. We hope you take the time to enjoy the end-of-year concerts, plays, and upcoming celebrations! Jeanne Starr and Laurie Dobson |
